Venue
The meeting will take place in the "Stelios Orphanoudakis" room, which can be found on the first floor of the main building of FORTH.
FORTH campus is located ~10km southwest of the center of the city of Heraklion and ~13.5km from the Heraklion International Airport.
FORTH postal address and contact information is:

There is a considerable number of flights connecting Heraklion ("Nikos Kazantzakis" international airport, code: HER) to Athens ("Eleftherios Venizelos" international airport, airport code: ATH), every day. The local airlines serving these connections are: Aegean and Sky Express.
During the summer months, there are also direct connections from most major European cities to Heraklion at fairly low prices.
Details on how you may reach FORTH from Heraklion, as well as various useful places in the city, are available in the following Google map
Official Heraklion Urban Bus web page
https://astiko-irakleiou.gr/en/
FORTH in Greek is ΙΤΕ ( Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας). So, the sign on the bus will say "ITE"
Itinerary to FORTH is number 11 (and 8)
Number 11 is the one going to the main hospital. At certain times, it goes all the way to FORTH (inside the campus, in this case it becomes number 8). But most of the time it stops at a bus stop 3 min walking distance from the FORTH/ITE campus entrance.
Tickets: Price (B zone) is 1.80€ if you buy the ticket outside the bus (kiosk or vending machines) and 2.80 € if you buy it inside the bus.
Transport from the Airport to the City Center
There are two ways to reach the city center, that is Eleftherias Square (Platia Eleftherias), from the airport. Details are available in the following paragraphs and map.
By Taxi - cost ~15 Euros
The taxis are available to the left just as soon as one exits the arrivals building. Just follow the signs.
By bus - ticket 1.30 Euros (2.30€ inside the bus)
To reach the bus station, one needs to exit the arrivals building, go to the right to reach the road, and then turn left and walk 100m on the narrow sidewalk to reach the bus station (see red curve on the map). All buses (except for bus #5) stop at Eleftherias Square. The bus ticket can be purchased via the automated machine 24h/7 (see photo) or at the ticket office (open until 23:00). One may also buy the ticket in the bus from the driver, but it is more expensive. You may download (right-click) the image below for an aerial view.
